By creating an account on HamoraGIS, you agree to the following terms. Last updated: September 2026.
1. Accounts & Eligibility
- •Anyone may create a student account with a valid email address.
- •You must provide accurate information and are responsible for all activity under your account.
- •The administrator monitors all accounts, posted jobs, and platform activity.
2. Coins & Payments
- •HamoraGIS uses coins for all platform fees. Approximate value: 1 coin = $0.02 USD.
- •Coins are purchased through the platform payment link (Stripe or PayPal) in packages of 100, 250, 500, and 1,000 coins.
- •Coin purchases are non-refundable.
- •Confirm a purchase in your wallet only after your payment has actually been completed. Falsely confirming a payment is fraud and grounds for account suspension.
3. Posting Jobs (Students)
- •Posting a job costs coins — the current fee is always shown before you post.
- •You must describe your job accurately and only upload materials you have the right to share.
- •Jobs may not contain illegal, harmful, or plagiarized content. Tutoring is learning support, not a service for academic dishonesty.
4. Tutor Applications & Approval
- •To become a tutor you must submit an application with supporting documents (degree, certificate, ID, or CV).
- •Applications and documents are reviewed by the administrator, who may approve or reject any application at their discretion.
- •Tutor access is granted only after approval and can be revoked for violations of these terms.
5. Tutor Fees, Earnings & Payouts
- •Responding to a job costs coins — the current fee is always shown before you respond.
- •Tutors choose how to receive their earnings: bank account, Wise, or coins in the HamoraGIS coin wallet.
- •When earnings are paid in coins on the site, HamoraGIS retains a 10% commission of each session fee and the tutor receives 90%.
- •Payouts are processed by the administrator after a job is completed.
6. Platform Oversight
- •The administrator can view and monitor all users, jobs, chat messages, coin purchases, and transactions.
- •Accounts that violate these terms may be suspended or removed at any time.
7. Acceptable Use
- •Be respectful in all chats and communications.
- •Do not share contact details or arrange payments outside the platform to avoid fees.
- •Do not misuse, resell, or manipulate the coin system.
8. Changes to These Terms
- •These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
